Slimping into Terra Cotta Mold.....
I found some old molds at a studio and I tried them.. the slumped pieces came out with a matte finish on them... not devit.. just matte.. can anyone tell me why?

Anyone going to the show in Baltimore or Philly
I will be visiting Baltimore twice one for wholesale and then again on friday for Retail. Then will be going to Philly to help in a booth and to shop.

I first saw a set of sample tiles via a traveling show by Bullseye. From there I started setting up a set for myself when I saw an article in Glass craftsman Issue 169 Dec/Jan 2002 about doing the same thing. As for slumping and tacking at the same time... Marty, Thanks for the info. Recently I was working with top element kiln and a firing that normally took 4 to 5 hrs took 10 hrs.
