YOu can also drape over a plumbing pipe that you can get at Home Despot. I put kiln wash on it and then also put thin fire under the piece.

I find that it helps to have maybe some frit at the seam if they are not perfect and then a solid piece above or below the 2 edges. If they are perfect cuts then clear over them works nicely.

Ok, I have a question... I have used the Bullseye shelf paper and know that that comes in rolls. I have also used 1/8 inch fiber frax and I know that it also comes in rolls.. what is ceramic fiber paper?

About warm glassers... I know of 2 counting myself. The other woman does womderful things but she does not come to the sit...

I first saw a set of sample tiles via a traveling show by Bullseye. From there I started setting up a set for myself when I saw an article in Glass craftsman Issue 169 Dec/Jan 2002 about doing the same thing. As for slumping and tacking at the same time... Jim's thought about doing the tack and slum...

What I want to know... does Jerry know something that we don't know? Are Brad and Brock the same person, just alter egos? or would that be altered  As for the thread that is goig on, there is nothing that I can add. I agree that the cause could be the prior annealing, and it could be the placem...

Lynne,
Is there something different in what you are firing. Like maybe using the new Bullseye peper as compared to the old paper? The new paper tends to fire things hotter and we are adjusting our firing schedules for that purpose.

Barbara,
When you come u[p for the watrm glass weekend you better not cross the border into DC. The conservatives that sit in power there might not look too kindly on it. They might get jealous about your legs or just wnat to control something else.

I haven't exactly done what you did, but I think that the worst case would be difficulty removing the mold, not broken glass. I made some floral formers with black iron pipe. A flange for the base. 1" pipe of any height, topped with a pipe cap. This is covered with a draped blanket and tied of...

Marty, Thanks for the info. Recently I was working with top element kiln and a firing that normally took 4 to 5 hrs took 10 hrs. Once it cooled down I turned the kiln back on and opened the door to find one side of the elements were not working. I initial thought was that it was a break in the eleme...
