Mica & float

I just recieved my new airbrush and am ready to try enamels and mica on float glass. After going thru the archives I am a little confused on firing pear-ex. Should you fire the blank (1/4" 2 layer first) Then the mica and use the slump firing for bonding the mica? And if you use enamels and mica...

Thanks for the info. That would help keeping the edges square. When I get a section done I will post a picture. The best thing is that after finding out what the costs of the tiles would have been at the tile store I can now tell my husband that "look honey the savings paid for the kiln" 8...

I thought that it was not possible. The effect was great but I wondered about the mastic getting in between the glass eventually.

Thanks again

Thanks for your help. This board has made my learing curve much easier.
Would a longer soak time make the folds more pronounced?

I am looking for very tight folds.

Thanks

I have used these paints on float and go up to 1500. The red turned out fine. I tried an emerald green that turned almost clear. I called and they said to stir and shake and this would cure the problem. i have never tried airbrushing with them.

I wish I was not having this problem. Only having the kiln 3 weeks this was a disaster for me. The only thing I can think of is that the screw was not seated properly.

I am going to set up that pulley system. Thanks so much for your help
