I don't know which GITD powder you are using, but I've done a lot of work in blown glass with this type of powder. Note that the powder doesn't ever "melt" into the glass. In fact, I can cut through a blown vessel and see lots of pockets and just pour the powder out. This is after being in...

I just recently tried an experiment to drill holes via sandblasting. Had some blown vessels that were 5-6mm thick. I created a simple stencil with a paper punch. Then I just concentrated the sandblasting in one area. I found that I made some really nice holes that way. Of course, I had to protect th...
