boron nitride

Post by Karyn Cott »

I have a can of boron nitride and was wondering if you all like to use it on stainless steel or do you feel that kiln wash works better?

One other question. I am draping over a ss form for a lamp shade. I want somewhat of a texture to the inside so that the light from the bulb is diffused. Would it work if I draped fiber blanket (that I separate into a thinner piece) over the ss form?

It would be better to impart the texture to the shade in a hotter firing on a kiln shelf. Then slump.
