Which bail for tear drop pendant?

Post by krccpht »

I am having a horrible time trying to find bails to fit my tear drop pendants. The ones I find in-store are too big for the narrow part of the tear drop. And when ordering online all I can do is guess and they are never right. Does anyone have any suggestions? I'm interested in glue-on bails. I believe the mold I have is this one from Delphi http://www.delphiglass.com/glass-molds/ ... ndant-mold

Two suggestions.
1) Slightly grind the tip of the teardrop so it has a level spot to fit the bail snugly
2) (what I use) drill a hole and use a pinch bail. We have them at http://kaiserglass.com/Store.html
Have plenty of examples at the web site.
Here's one.

Thanks! I just checked out your tutorial on how to drill the hole for the pinch bail. I'll have to find some diamond drill bits for my dremmel then I can try it out!
