Covington Wet belt sander?
A friend of mine had been given several glass power tools from someone else and she wanted them out of her shop so I purchased very inexpensively. One of the things that I ended up with is, I believe, a Covington wet belt sander. Am not finding the equivalent online so assume it is a bit older. It needs some TLC, cleanup, etc. Has a little chipping pain and a small amount of rust, however it runs well and quietly. Any idea what model and where I can buy parts....will have my better half work on refurbing it a bit, but he likes me to find the parts. It doesn't have a model number but does say Covington, as well as Nervo Distributors in Berkley, CA. Looks a bit like the Covington with the Muslin Buff Polisher but seems like it has an extra wheel.
Any info you might have would be very helpful. Picture attached.
thanks,
Kathy

Contact Covington: http://covington-engineering.com/
They've made dozens of different models, some as one offs, but should have parts and advice for one and all.

You use a sponge for the water delivery on this. I buy wet belts from CR Laurence. You need an account. I am sure there are many sources for 3 x 24 carbide wet belts.

Not trusting the sponge I rigged up a plastic container with a drip line that gravity feeds to the belt. One day I'll get lockline to make positioning of the drip line a bit more accurate. Jen
Edit: Pictures hadn't shown when I responded. Mine is a later model but I'd still be inclined to use a gravity water feed on yours. (Nice bonus outrigger!)

Re: Covington Wet belt sander?
Thanks for your help. I have emailed Covington and not heard back from them.
Hoping I can at least get the belt sander up and running.

I think I've got belts that would fit that! I purchased from someone else, thinking they'd fit mine but they're much too small. Message me if you're interested and I'll measure them.
