Used Wet Belt Sander Advice
I am going to look at a used Somaca WBS (106G-RP24). I know very little about them (have only operated a WBS once) and would appreciate any input/tips as to what I should look at on the machine to ensure that it's in relatively good shape (or not).

Check to see if the wheels have crowned. Turn it on, listen for ominous sounds.

bearings, platens, and other part that wear can be replaced fairly easily and are still availble even for very old ones. check to see that when tension is put on it that it runs fairly true.
