WHAT HAPPENNED HERE?

Hello guys....
I am posting 2 photos of a small place in my kiln.
I suspect something bad had happened and I should call the electrician.

Can you comment?

A short while ago I had a relay problem, following your advice changes ALL the 3 relays.

Is my kiln getting old? Should I consider buying a new one? [Would probably be a terrible headache....]

Many thanks in advance,
Havi

It looks like you need new elements. With your recent relay replacement, new elements will make it like a new kiln....other than your controller there is not much else to worry about!

Thanks, Don

I'll call the electrician tomorrow morning. [Here it is a regular working day...]

Thanks again,
Havi

are you crash cooling your kiln?9 letting it get to the anneal hold with the lid open) That can cause the bricks to crack and eventually start to fall apart.

No I am not crash cooling the kiln .
Generally speaking I do an extremely conservative annealing, and before, I allow the kiln to cool down to the anneal temp.by its own ability [sometimes 515C, sometimes 482C]

I do pip sometimes, when the temp. is going down, but this is really no more than 2 seconds..

Thanks for the response.
