I wanted to add this thin copper 2mm thick twisted copper. into a 5inch diameter glass orb. would the metal cause breakage because too thick. leaf or foil wouldn't give the effect I was looking for.
is there a formula for dimension of metal inclusion vs thickness of glass object?

Re: copper inclusion
2mm is too thick. It will almost certainly crack.
No formula that I'm aware of. It would depend on the particular metal, of course.

Re: copper inclusion
.2mm should be thin enough. Try a small piece as a test.Michael Stevens wrote:I'm. sorry I meant .2mm
