Re: Fern Leaf Fusing
Yes, indeed. I said I'd be happy to pay for the course "hand out" and the response was that "it's on the internet."

Re: Fern Leaf Fusing
That's what I've been wondering. My kiln and glass are still packed from my recent move--anyone willing to throw some scrap glass in the kiln just to test that possibility? Any color, any kind of leaf.

Re: Fern Leaf Fusing
Yes, I did, but I'm not sure that's the process. The plates in the photos are much brighter and clearer than the ones in the article.

Fern Leaf Fusing
I'm on the mailing list for a glass studio where I used to live, and got these photos for an upcoming class. Unfortunately I no longer live in the area. Can anyone tell me how this is done?

Drop ring formula??
Forgive me if this has been covered (I couldn't find it) but is there any kind of formula for drop rings? I just did one with 6" supports. The ring is about 4 1/2" across (too hot right now to get an exact measurement), and the glass is two standard thicknesses of Spectrum--wispy covered w...

Stephanie--thanks for telling me what cars you have. You need to get 'em out more! BTW, this is OT for glass, but starting the car up and NOT driving it is about the worst thing you can do for an engine. Either let it sit, or make it move--at least enough to warm the engine and burn out the condensa...

I traded my 8x8 Aim for a custom 12x12 square Aim with a controller, and I love it! One of my particular problems was the inability to have my house rewired which many of the kilns in this size range call for. I was able to get mine ordered with two separate wires which I had made long enough to go ...

Correct. Glasscraft doesn't have that minimum. It's a retail store, but advertises extensively. I think I did get a discount on my order because it was over some minimum, but I can't remember for sure because some brain cells have died since then, and I'm too tired to look up the invoice. As for the...

If you want a nice full-service retail shop in Clearwater, try Emerald Rainbow. They carry all stained glass supplies, as well as rods, torches, etc., for lampworking. I don't remember if they have anything for fusing or slumping. They also have classes periodically, and manufacture some products fo...

OT--need Webshots help
Can I get some help from you Webshots experts? I've got photos uploaded, showing on my link, but I can't get a link to let someone else see it. It gives me error messages when I try to do this. How do I get the "www.webshots.com/..." type of link to refer people to?
