I would go with the Paragon, just don't let the mold touch the pyrometer. Sorry, I don't slump float, so I can't help you with that schedule.

Good luck!

Thank you all SOOOO MUCH for all the good advice! I will take the unanimous vote and go for a silicon adhesive with bolts. And I didn't know that the Chihuly ceiling at the Bellagio is plastic! Wow! There is a never-ending source of knowledge from this board! Thanks again for your input! BEBE PS. If...

BIG Adhesive Question

Here's a tricky one. I need to "affix" four pieces of fused glass that weigh approx. 14 - 16 lbs each to an 8' circular window that is exposed to the elements. My concerns are clarity, flexibility, etc and not killing someone walking in the door under this thing. The client wanted a domed ...

I did shows for five years in five states and had been wisely advised about this in the beginning. My fri...

A gold pen works best between firings, although it will come out a little grainy. Or use Paradise paints. Personally, I like to use a dremel with a diamond bit and engrave my name after everything is done - it's just more subtle. Some people put a little symbol for their name, like a heart, cut from...

Help save this piece!

I can hear the groans now (especially from all my teachers - Hi guys!) - "not another thermal shock question"! I've spent hours in the archives and couldn't find a situation similar to what I am going to ask. I have successfully slumped over 12 items with the same schedule, kiln, BE compat...

I just saw some 2" square float glass tiles with lots of multi-colored frit on the bottom. Had to investigate - seems the manufacturer is grinding very small frit and GLUEING it on the back! Then they cover the back of the tile where the frit is with sticky paper that looks like white contact p...
