Re: Most up to date way to get paid?
I have used Square for 6 yrs. Works well anywhere you can pull in wifi at shows, etc. They have been good to deal with and no problems. But they used to put the money in my bank account the next day. Now they charge another small fee to do that. Check Intuit and Apple pay. Paypal has been doing this...

Re: Hot Mix Fire Dragon COE 90 import glass ???
Strong color mix! And have your pieces all been compatible? Great fun. Looks like you tumbled some already. Were you testing to make bowls or plates? Does any of the glass come in single color? Especially a single color that is also in the mix. Sometimes it is good to "corral" all that won...

Re: Polishing any fused glass in a rock tumbler
Yes, I too think the drilled pendants will survive your gentle tumbling. Maybe 1.5 mm hole since it will be at end of cycle? My favorite drill set up is the cheapest and easiest of several systems tried in the past. Check out Kingsley North for a small $80. drill press, then pair it up with 100 smal...

Re: Polishing any fused glass in a rock tumbler
Wow! I read the line "several tons of COE 96" several times. That is an outrageous amount and a lifetime of very beautiful & marketable scrap. Perhaps you will explore possibility of drilling very tiny holes in your flat pieces of scrap before the tumbling begins. The holes may enlarge...

Re: Polishing any fused glass in a rock tumbler
Hi Jim. To skip right past the story about tumbling, I want to say that you have some great color work in so many of your glass pendants-to-be! Surprising and fun glass. Especially since you are new to this medium. You made me smile w/delight. I will review those photos when I'm looking for a kick s...

Hi Mike.
Do you know what caught on fire in the kiln?
Maybe it was just smoke from the kiln paper not vented?

I am glad for you people who have people to share ideas and the workload.
But also jealous because the sharing of ideas and designs start flying thru the space and crackle with energy.
What a happy time when other glass friends spend a day!

I have no knowledge on lusters,
but you might start by reading whatever Corning Glass has to share.
Good luck with your search.

Re: Bullseye glass lawsuit
Thank you, Kevin, for posting this fascinating case. A long story, but laid out clearly, and corrects some of the misinformation I had read. I have an even higher respect for Bullseye Glass because they tried to follow the vague laws used to regulate their company for decades. Their law firm seems b...

Re: bottle glass frit - firing schedule
Hello!
If you use the search option under Techniques to look up bottle glass, there are many postings.
Sadly you will read that bottle glass is very difficult to cast or fuse.
Lots of luck to you.
You will be happier every day using fusible glass.

Re: Irid Plate
Just a quick thought.
Fuse parts of plate together as usual, then use a Bonny Doon bottom less mold to slump.
You can put whatever texture you wish under that mold and it will be only in the center.

Thank you for several very good pieces of information. I am dragging myself into selling online after all these years. Quitting smoking is what made you crazy.
It is a temporary state of mind and you will be so fine later.
sounds simple, but you must drink plenty of fluids! truly.
speak kindly.

Re: Everyone needs a boost once in awhile.
Here is the small amount of truth that I know about life. Every single one of us has to move forward by putting one foot in front of the other. one day at a time. rich, poor, handicapped, healthy. There are many 12 step programs to help those who didn't learn it young. And yes, working at less than ...

I really like the color work. Strong lines, strong contrast.
I won't forget the precision of your combing frit, and hope to use that someday soon.
