The ideal solution is to have 2 kilns!

Yes, I cut out the shapes while the clay was in a leather hard state, then fired it. I should ask someone to hold it up to the sun while I photograph it. here is a tile that I made using terra cotta and glass. 30cm x 30cm x 25mm There are plenty of things wrong with it but I like the idea of a clay and glass piece. It was fired twice. By the way, my studio didn't have any windows so I installed a sky window. Its like a skylight, but it opens up allowing air to come in and out.

I paint on float with vitreous paints, then put 1/2" transparent plastic bumpers on the back of the glass, that way it floats above the board. I then mount it with L Screws on whiteboard. I buy all materials from Homo Depot. These are the bumpers: http://www.homedepot.com/p/OOK-1-2-in-Clear-Pl...
