I tried to get into Arrowmont, but alas it is full. Does anyone know of any other summer classes, preferably longer than a single day or weekend? Please let me know if you do.
I fired a single layer of BE black an dgot an uprising in the middle of it. It didn't get very thin in the middle of the uprising, so if I re-fire it will it go down? I know that they are caused by firing too fast, but I've used this program before with no problem. Please HELP!
It is only on the top side of the glass. It is kind of spotty scum and the fiber paper appears to have all burned off. I've not had any problem with that before.
If I remember correctly from my bartending days, the seal is made of red sealing wax. More of a plastic than wax. However, they may have switched to metal for cost reasons.

Had mine about 2 weeks now. LOVE IT!!! Man does it eat through the glass. Cuts in all directions. My only concern is the width of the cut. Is there a narrower blade? But it is awesome.
Shrinkage when fusing??? I tack fused a piece yesterday, and when I took it out of the kiln, it had shrunk by about 1/4" width-wise. I have had similar problems with full fuse projects, but not tack fusing. What is happening? The program I used is- 500 dph to 250 for 10min 500 dph to 500 for 10...

All my cutters are either Toyo or Fletcher-Terry. I've tried lighter pressure too. I've tried using running...
When fusing with float glass, which sides are supposed to touch? (tinned to tinned, tinned to untinned or what) And can you fuse with frit, powder and confetti in between the layers?
Can anyone tell me the firing characteristics and times for fusing with GNA 90? I am specifically interested in the thicker glass of their's. It has no bubbles in it and that's what makes it attractive to me.
