Why do the temperatures vary for fusing different profiles with different types of glass

eg to tack fuse 2 pieces of Bullseye glass you need to heat it up to a certain tempertaure and to tack fuse 2 pieces of Spectrum glass together you have to take it to a slightly different temperature

You're getting into glass chemistry here, and I certainly can't answer this other than to say that the colorants in the glass affect it's viscosity. This is true even among different colored glass from one manufacturer. Brock
