Recalibrate Temp Controller?

Post by Judi R »

Hello gang of glass -
My small kiln's temperature controller somehow got all whacked out and no longer gives me an accurate temp read. :( Any ideas how to reset / readjust? Unfortunately, I've lost all the literature that came with it.
Thanks! - Judi

If it's a pyrometer/thermocouple, there will be a screw on the pyrometer face. Put the thermocouple in boiling water and turn the screw to read 212.
That should work okay, although there is room for error, the hotter you go. If it's a controller, get it done by the manufacturer. Brock
My memory is so good, I can't remember the last time I forgot something . . .
