What might cause pea-sized "pockmarks?" I successfully fused two 10" circles of black Bullseye with 3 dichro butterflies on top. I wanted to slump it into a bowl so thought I should clear cap it to protect the exposed dichro coating. The clear layer was Uroboros (90) and it fused beautifully around the edges of the piece and over the butterflies, but in between there are large areas of what I can only describe as large pockmarks. Lots of collapsed bubbles? (I would think if air were trapped it would have been around the butterflies which were slightly raised).
The overall surface is fairly smooth, so the thing isn't a total loss--if I can convince somebody that the craters are a design element!
