Fusion Shield Update?

Post by Brent »

I checked into the Fusion Shield shelves when they were first introduced, and remember seeing here that there were problems with outgassing and bubbles. As reported here, they improved from the first versions. There hasn't been anything (positive or negative) about them that I could find in the archives for about a year, and was wondering how those of you who are using them like them?

Have they really gotten rid of the early problems? Has the price come down any? Does anyone sell them, or do you still have to purchase direct? Thanks!

Unfortunately, they weren't able to work out all the kinks and they have decided not to market the shelves to glass artists. Last I spoke to them, they promised to let us know if they decide to reenter the market.

It's a shame, because this could have been a great product.

Bummer! Thanks for the info, though, Brad. I hadn't thought about them for almost a year, but last night as I stood outside in the cold scraping shelves, they popped into my mind... :D
