Any idea how this is done
I have sent an email to the artist but have not received a reply. I am wondering how this is done. The listing says it is hand carved and fused glass.
This is the listing

Love these. Cut out design on top piece. Put a transparent color for bottom layer. Cut out fiber paper where you want the glass to puff out. Place under both layers and fuse. I am attaching puffy glass directions that worked very well for me. Have fun

Thanks so much Deerick. Ok silly question but I couldn't tell by your pictures, are you cutting the pattern out with a glass saw so there are no joins or did you make several cuts and place the design back together?deerick wrote:Love these. Ok. Glass made easy is not my website but great info on it. I use a Ring saw to cut a pattern from top piece. Usually I try to keep the thicker part of design towards middle so it leaves a border around edge so i can frame easier And cut all in one piece so no joints Send me your email and I will send you some pictures of pieces I have done. But please note I have not perfected cutting like the artist Michelle from your original picture. She really is good

I have seen a video (or better photos) of this technique somewhere else... the Bullseye subscription education site? Can't remember... Anyway, in that video they show designing the cutout so that, using a ring saw, you begin at an edge and cut the design all in one piece.
