Glass Dust Collection/Extraction

Post by tgotch »

I do a fair amount of wet grinding, sawing, etc. I have a window fan and a hepa filter covering it to help extract the dust. I still get some dust settling on the floor, workbenches, etc.

I have looked into some cheap alternatives (Harbor Freight dust collector, etc.), but they seem more geared towards woodworking sawdust, and not the fine glass particles.

I was wondering what type of glass dust extraction/collection methods everyone uses.

Water when grinding/cutting, paper towels, windex and a pushbroom and shopvac. And I wear a mask when I'm cleaning the studio.

Cheap kitchen range hoods over the saw and the flat lap. Vented outside to bring the deer and wild turkeys down.
