Sprinkling those enamels
I found a cheap and simple way to sprinkle my Thompson enamels so that you have more control. I took a simple kitchen sieve about 3 inches in diameter, one where you might want to sieve out the spices or in my case lumps in a sauce. I stretched a piece of panty hose (you can use a knee high) over the bottom of it...added my enamels and then gentle tapings allow you to get a very fine layer on the glass if that is what you need. Hope this helps others, Lydia of Ohio

I learned a really great method for doing this from Phil Teefy. If you run a pencil or something similar across the twisted handle of an enamel sieve, it vibrates it just enough to release a very even coat of enamel onto your glass. Works like magic.
I took two classes from Phil at Glass Craft Expo & they were worth the money.
