Gerry's Casting Mix ?

Hello,
I have some Gerry's Casting Mix that came with no instructions (I've asked the supplier for the information but haven't heard back from them). The archives here ( I love this board!!) gave some help, but I still have one more question. Do the molds made with this mix need to have a kiln wash applied?
Thanks bunches.

Hi,
This is a one time mold mix. We applied a slip coat to our piece then poured the mold mix over that. No kiln wash needed.

I took a 2 week class with Gerry last summer and we did some great casting with his mix. He suggested a face coat, somebody else refered to it as a slip coat. I think we are talking about the same thing. the face coat was plaster/silica consistancy of buttermilk. While it's setting mix the Gerry's to milkshake consistancy and pour.
A few links to Gerry's work if your interested.
