Broken While Drilling

While drilling a hole in a piece that I spent a considerable amount of time on, the edge on the outside of the hole broke off. It was a clean break. If I glue it back on and refire, will it repair itself? Do I take it to full fuse? Any other suggestions?
Thanks.

It will probably pull apart when fired.

If it's two layer or more it probably will, but the hole will change too. I'd make a splice of a piece of glass to straddle the two breaks, and fuse that in, then touch up the hole if you need to. You'll most likely be able to see where the patch is, so put it on the back side.

Thanks, Tony. I'll try the splice.
