It only took me a week to do but I finally got it done. Now I can concentrate on my maglesses.

It's 15-1/2" diameter, all Spectrum glass. The red/orange/yellow strips are a cut up pot melt.

Cool piece. Looks like laguna agate slices.
Do you have any of that pot melt left? It would be interesting to see it on other substrates too.
I would have liked to see a sparser or less regular arrangement of the little bar stripes too, but the uniform pattern is still nice.

Randy, I like it a lot, which given my lack of enthusiasm for yellow, is amazing.

Looks great to me too!
How did you solve your white scum problem?

Thanks for all the wonderful compliments. I had fun making it and plan on making more. It was well received by others I have shown it to also. It gets a little boring cutting all those strips but the results are well worth it.
Here's a pic of when I first started assembling it.

I had no real plan, I kinda made it up as I went along.
I don't have any strips left from that pot melt, I used the rest to make pendants. But it's not a problem to make another one.
I sandblasted the scum off then fire polished without using borax spray and it came out clear and shiney. I think I got scum cause I sprayed the borax on twice. I coated it once, let it dry then applyed a second coat. I live by the rule "more is better". I guess some new rules for borax spray is use ONLY when needed and never apply two coats.
