need to make mold

Ineed to make a mold of an African mask to slump into. What material would be best for this project and where can I purchase it.
Best is subjective. Why do you want to slump INTO it? That will put texture on the face of your finished piece.
You could make the shape you want out of styrofoam, then make a wet felt mold over that. Brock
