Murrini issue - COE shift??

I just started working on a new piece and the last batch of murrini I made contained BE Tomato Red, Pimento Red and White. I pulled the murrini at 1515. Towards the end of the pull, which took a little over an hour, the canes started to shear while cooling; even after I cut them into little pieces some of them broke apart several hours later. I thought the initial canes were okay as they were not exposed to above 1500 so long, but just found one piece from the first cane, which shows a crack (piece standing up in red only). But the shearing is mostly in the later canes where a little air pulled through already.

So...is this most likely a COE shift?? And do I dare use that batch in the new bowl or better chuck it out? I've made three other batches of murrini all using other reds/oranges prior to that and they all seem to be fine.
Thank you for any input.
