Mold Making with R&R 910

I have an open faced sculpture that is a mask made out of bisque ceramic. I've embellished that mask with plasticine flowers. Can I pour an R&R 910 mold over this after I've put a release on it - or will removing the plasticine harm the surface finish on the R&R 910?

I know I could make a silicone rubber and pour a wax, but would rather not do that if I can get away with it.

Yes. You shouldn't need a release as much as a barrier; some oil-based clay leaves a residue on the mold that can cloud the glass. I spray mine with a couple of very thin coats of lacquer, well-dried. Usually the clay will peel right out (unless there are undercuts).

Thank you Cynthia - that worked great. I did not even think to lacquer the piece. You help is much appreciated.
