Failing Silicone: another option?

I am so frustrated. I have been using GE Silicone II for many years with only one issue about two years ago. That was from using an out-of-date tube of silicone that didn't cure. I use the silicone to adhere my glass panel to masonite or wood board. Since the summer, I have had nothing but problems. The silicone sometimes cures, sometime doesn't. I check the date, buy it at different locations, but still no consistency. I thought it might be the temperature of my studio so I have worked at keeping the pieces, after gluing, in a constant 65-70 degree environment. Still no consistency.
Does anyone use any other adhesive that is reliable for glass-to-wood applications?
