I have a Duncan kiln with infinite switch and 3 settings HI-FIRE, CERAMIC and OVERGLAZE. Can anyone explain the difference. I would like to know which setting is best to slump bottles like GreyGoose

You can get another knob for the infinate switch that will say low, medium, and high. Start the kiln on low and start heating your kiln, then switch it to medium till it gets to about 1000. Then you can put it on high till the temp you want.. Then slow it down again to get to annealing. Once you get there, or maybe even before you get there you would want to put it on low and try and keep the temp near annealing temp.
good luck.
