I need a system that drips water onto a surface for cold working...the type of thing that comes standard with expensive cold working equipment.
I have been using a suspended bucket with a small hole in the bottom filled with water that slowly drip due to gravity. This works but i want to buy something less primitive
What's the correct term for this type of system?
Pete

I use loc-lines, plugged into a garden hose or an inside water supply:

HIS Glassworks carries them here, not sure who might have them in your area.

Pete, if you can't find loc-line look in the gardening supplies section of a hardware store or a hydroponics supplier. They will have flexible irrigation tubing. You can get little on/off valves too. Locline works well. I just rigged something up from what we and a neighbour had handy.

I have a 3 litre milk container on a shelf above the wet belt sander with an on/off valve at the bottom of the container where the flexible line is connected. It gravity feeds onto the belt. Jen

I use the Loc-lines as well. They are super! Attached to a garden hose as Cynthia said, and then I just attach to my saw (grinder, etc.) with zip ties.

I use small water supply pumps that are made for tile saws with a small inline valve for my water supplies. You can get the small pumps at Home Depot (around $20). One advantage is that you can use the pump to pump water out of a five gallon bucket instead of running a garden hose as your water source.

Dear all. Thank you for the info. I have found lots of local sources of loc-line modular hose system. Pete
