Bullseye's foil is 25.4 micron, which equals 1 mil.

beware of the danger of slashing your hand to shreds should a roll of thin metal uncoil. You are looking for something called 'shim stock'.

Try Online Metals at http://www.onlinemetals.com.
I've used them before and they have excellent service.

I've had good luck with On Line Metals, too.

That online metals site is 3 times as much as a Canadian supplier of the same metals I was looking at.
However it was not the copper being searched for.
Google shim stock

Admiral Metals (formerly Admiral Brass & Copper) might be worth a look if you want "industrial" shim stock. Both machine shops i worked for used them as a supplier when needed.
