Bullseye COE 90 fine frit in a mold. Since the frit is graded fine, do I need to do a soak? Shouldn't I just be able to go 400°F/hour straight to 1150°F?

Or is it going to act like the candy, Popping Rocks and send very tiny bits all over my kiln?

If it was to simply fracture and make itself smaller bits, I'm okay with that.

Unless this frit is on top of a larger sheet of glass go for it. I run small pieces eg: 2" with frit on top up to 1500F in 30 min. then hold for desired results. Your 400F is actually a lot slower. No holds needed, no anneal on the way down.. works fine on jewellery sized pieces
