Indeed.
What does it cost to bring something like that to court? Half a million?
Of course we'd all like to see the full jury circus with underdog BE triumphant (and giving free glass to loyal supporters) but I'm betting that won't happen.
This cynic says that DEQ will settle, admitting no wrong, BE will get credibility and PR (but terms of settlement will be sealed) and will make a couple of million after expenses.

Thank you, Kevin, for posting this fascinating case.
A long story, but laid out clearly, and corrects some of the misinformation I had read.
I have an even higher respect for Bullseye Glass because they tried to follow the vague laws used to regulate their company for decades.
Their law firm seems beyond thorough.
They should prevail in the courts, and yes it will get settled in negotiations in judge's chamber.

The worst part of this is that the citizens of Oregon will bear the costs of defending the suit. And the users of Bullseye will bear the prosecuting costs.
There is no penalty for abusing political position.

I emailed BE and asked them if there was a fund to support the legal effort. they stated 'the best way you can help Bullseye is to continue to purchase our glass and share our Facebook post and emails regarding Bullseye v Brown. https://bullseyevbrown.bullseyeglass.com lawsuit with your friends and colleagues.'. They must have realized my idea of a contribution is with the same general stinginess by which I purchase their glass. They're losing out on potentially tens of dollars.

Actually, you could run the purchase through Fused Glass Warehouse in NH and make even more people happy.
