compatible glasses

I needed some brownish colored cabs for pendants. I didn't have any BE so used an unknown mfg piece of glass over BEdichroic--CBS. I made small pieces (maybe 2" x 4") and after fusing cut them into small cabs and refired to fire polish. My question, will uncompatible glasses cause cracking in the future on a small piece? Linda

it's entirely possible.

you could do a test strip with 90 COE clear and the unknown to test it's compatibility with a polarized lens, or perhaps just put a pendant in the freezer overnight, then toss it in the dishwasher and see if it lasts through that.

definitely best to test first!
