fire polishing

Post by Havi »

Hi everybody,
I am one of the permanent lurkers, enjoying every pip I do - and learnning a lot. Your experiences are a good shortcut for me. Now when I have your calendar I can also see you.
It is very unfortunate for me not to be able to attend your warm glass weekend at Corning. How about doing it here, at "The Holy Land" (Israel, of course)?
My inquiry - I know that a glass which was sandblasted can be fire polished and get shiny again. Does anyone know what happens with an acid treated glass? Can it also be fire poilshed? Will it regain its shine
:?
I shall try it, but I 'll be grateful for yours experiences too...

Yes. The right temperature will remove ANY process marks on the glass.
