Paul Marioni told me that he once contacted NASA about making big glass lenses in space. Blowing glass is a snap in zero gravity.

Thenks for the fascinating article! Glass is an incredible material. Makes me wish I could start school all over in ceramic engineering. It would really be neat to see what effects would be produced in zero gravity pate de verre castings.
