Creating Unique Fused Glass Jewelry ...
includes an introduction to high temperature firing
Wednesday, October 19 to Thursday, October 20
Instructor: Brad Walker
Want to make glass jewelry that stands out from the crowd? Here's a fused glass jewelry class that focuses on designs and techniques that go beyond simply slapping a piece of clear on top of a dichroic scrap.
We'll start with both regular and dichroic glass to make basic pendants and ear rings, then move on to more advanced techniques such as creating cabochons, etching dichroic, and more. We'll also learn the basics of high temperature firing and get the opportunity to create a wire melt, pot melt, or combed piece. (YOUR CHOICE of ONE.) Then we'll complete the workshop by covering basic coldworking and finishing techniques for jewelry, including hole drilling, grinding, and polishing.
All materials included. Beginners are welcome, and even the most experienced fuser will learn something new.
