Flower Power: Bud Vases, Pocket Vases, and Floral Formers
Friday, June 15 to Sunday, June 17, 2018
Instructor: Brad Walker
If April showers bring May flowers, what does June bring? Vases to hold the flowers, of course!
This workshop focuses on three great methods of creating vases to hold flowers. We'll start with tall, narrow bud vases, drop formed in the kiln. Then continue with fused pocket vases that can hang on the wall. And finish with curvy floral formers. You'll learn several ways to fuse, two unique slumping techniques, and leave with the knowledge that you'll never have to put up with naked flowers again.
Familiarity with glass cutting and with basic fusing and slumping techniques is essential. All materials will be provided.
