Drop Formed Bowls and Vases

Curious about drop formed bowls and vases?
We’ll cover all the basics, from creating the blank, to watching the drop, to coldworking, and more. You’ll have the option of dropping any distance from 5″ up to 10″.
On day 1, we’ll create the blank for the drop and also make a custom drop ring mold.
On day 2, we’ll focus on the drop firing itself. You’ll get to choose from several options on the drop distance and size of the top of the vase.
On the third day we’ll coldwork and finish your piece.
Familiarity with glass cutting and with basic fusing and slumping techniques is highly recommended.
10:00 to 4:00 first two days, 10:00 to 3:00 last day
