Painting with Layers: Working with Glass Enamels

No matter your skill level, from absolute beginner to experienced painter, you’re sure to learn something new in this three day workshop.
Jody will cover how to mix enamels properly, to combine colors to make new ones, to paint on glass, and to fire enamels so that they mature to their brilliant full potential.
Then you’ll take your enamels skills to the next level and learn to create paintings and designs on single and multiple layers. Shading, composition, and color theory will all be covered.
Jody Danner Walker, author of Printmaking Techniques on Glass, will share her secrets for firing and re-firing enamels. She’ll also cover approaches to damming, and schedules that will minimize bubbles and work every time.
We’ll work with Sunshine Enamels, a premium line of enamels made for painting.
Open to anyone who wants to learn about firing enamels on glass. All materials are provided.
